Te Waihou Walkway lies alongside the upper reaches of the Waihou River, The river water is clear and pure, with intense blue colour. Many springs and tributaries feed the river. where the water is extremely clear and pure, with an intense blue hue. The Blue Spring is internationally acclaimed, with water from the Mamaku Plateau taking over 100 years to reach it.
紐西蘭Rotorua 附近28號公路旁有一國際知名的藍色冷泉.這冷泉的水源於Mamaku山脈,水從山上滲入地層約百年後才會到達藍泉,經過地層完全過濾後的水清澈見底呈現明亮的藍色,這是藍泉的由來.沿著藍泉的Waihua 河有一條Waihua 步道,非常簡單易行,吸引許多往訪Rotorua 過路遊客來此散步休息,所以終年遊客絡繹不絕.
