Northern Circuit Tongariro National Park New Zealand -- 1001 Natural Wonders

        Tongariro National Park New Zealand is a dual World Heritage Site of Maori cultural values and remarkable volcanic features. The 50km, 4 days Northern Circuit is recognized as one of the best treks all over the world. Part of it is the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing which lures approximately 25000 international walkers annually to enjoy the majestic scenery of Mount Ngauruhoe, Emerald Lakes, Blue Lake, and Red Crater. The trek entrance is 4 hours drive from Auckland.
