Separation Point to Totaranui is one of the highlights of the 51km Abel Tasman Coastal Track known to have fine coastal forest and pristine honey-colored beaches. Water taxi access to various points makes it possible for trampers from either Motueka or Takaka to enjoy several excellent days walks.
Abel Tasman 這一條步道是紐西蘭八大走之一,以前我們花四天揹著大背包走完全程.但是 這個南島北邊的海岸步道實在太美了, 所以我們第四度拜訪這裡走其中最美的一段--Separation Point 到Totaranui.海岸樹林非常濃密,金黃沙灘和蔚藍海水,白色石灰岩峭壁,使這一條步道成為國際知名的步道,每年夏天吸引成千上萬國際遊客到此.今年因Nelson 地區洪水沖毀Takaka 到步道終點的道路,所以許多遊客被阻擋在Takaka,我們幫忙載一對德國年輕人到Tata Beach,他們要花一天走到登山口,可見這一步道有多吸引人.
